Pakistani nation proud of women’s cricket team: High Commissioner Dr Muhammad Faisal.

London: The Pakistan women’s cricket team visited The Pakistan House at the invitation of Pakistan High Commissioner in London Dr Muhammad Faisal. On this occasion, a dinner was hosted in honour of the players in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission London and The UK-Pakistan Business Council.
Minister Trade Shafiq Shahzad, Minister Press Ali Nawaz, President UK Pakistan Business Council Atta Haq as well as important personalities from the Board of Advisories UK Pakistan Business Council and community attended the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Pakistani High Commissioner Dr Muhammad Faisal said that the Pakistan women’s cricket team has played the first match very well, the team will play a total of three ODIs and three T20 matches.

He further said that it is an honor for us to visit the women’s cricket team, we have always encouraged the cricket team, hopefully the Pakistani team will play well. In his address, the High Commissioner said that the women pray for the success of the team. The Pakistani team has played very well in the first match, we are proud of them, the nation is with them, whether you win or lose, we love you.
Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Nida Dar said that we will play bilateral series matches in England. It is an honour for us that a dinner was hosted at Pakistan House by the UK-Pakistan Business Council and The Pakistan High Commissioner in London.

She said that there are still stages of learning, will perform well in England, there was a very good crowd in Birmingham, hopefully there will be a large number of fans in the next matches as well. Just the first match has been played, the players will play very well.

Nida Dar said that the weather in England is very good and there is a lot of support due to the weather. She said that Chairman Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi is very encouraging and constant contact with them.

Speaking on the occasion, Maria Saroya, Head of Women’s Wing, UK Pakistan Business Council said, “Welcome the Pakistan women’s cricket team to England, in particular, we would like to thank the Pakistan High Commission, London, for giving the UK-Pakistan Business Council the opportunity to support this event.
Maria Saroya further said that UK-Pakistan Business Council has always been at the forefront of supporting women. We are always there to support the Pakistan women’s cricket team. Not only in the UK but also in Pakistan, if women need support in any field, the UK-Pakistan Business Council will be ready for support at all times.

At the end of the ceremony, the players also took a group photo. The Pakistan team will play matches against England in Birmingham, Leeds, Northampton, Derby Essex, Somerset and other cities and will return to Pakistan on May 30.
